Brooks Lee Serving As Designated Hitter Against Astros
5 months agoMinnesota Twins rookie infielder Brooks Lee is serving as the designated hitter and is batting ninth for the Twins on Saturday versus the visiting Houston Astros and right-hander Hunter Brown. Lee, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, made his major-league debut on Wednesday and went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Detroit Tigers. The 23-year-old former eighth overall pick in 2022 out of Cal Poly has gone 6-for-11 (.545) with a double, four RBI, a walk and two strikeouts in his first three big-league games. Lee obviously won't have a ton of DFS upside in the nine-hole for Minnesota, but he deserves to be rostered in most fantasy leagues for his high-end upside while playing regularly for the Twins as long as Royce Lewis (groin) remains sidelined on his latest injured-list stint.
