Paul Skenes Racks Up Eight Strikeouts In Strong Outing On Friday
5 months agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Paul Skenes was dominant yet again on Friday, racking up eight strikeouts in seven innings during the Pirates' 14-2 win over the New York Mets. Skenes improved his record to 5-0 and lowered his ERA to 2.12 after dominating the Mets. The rookie sensation also threw a season-high 107 pitches. Friday's strong outing only helps Skenes' case for NL Rookie of the Year as he starts to build a gap between him and the field. The 22-year-old will have one more scheduled start before the All-Star break, currently scheduled for next Wednesday in Milwaukee against the Brewers. Fantasy managers and DFS players should continue to target Skenes whenever possible.
