Clayton Kershaw To Throw A Bullpen On Wednesday
5 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) is throwing a bullpen session on Wednesday, according to manager Dave Roberts. This time 10 days ago, Kershaw threw a bullpen and reported discomfort in his surgically repaired left shoulder. But after an MRI exam, "some shots" have cleared things up for Kershaw to return to throwing. "I don't want to say if it's before the (All-Star) break or right after the break, but I'm encouraged where he's at right now," manager Dave Roberts said. The three-time Cy Young winner is expected to rejoin LA's starting rotation this summer, but the team isn't going to rush the 36-year-old future Hall of Famer. If Kershaw's bullpen goes well on Wednesday, he could be cleared to resume a minor-league rehab assignment and make his 2024 debut early in the second half of the season after the All-Star break.
