Clayton Kershaw Resumes Throwing
5 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) has started throwing again after experiencing shoulder soreness last week. Kershaw said he was relieved an MRI exam didn't reveal any more damage and that some "shots" helped alleviate the discomfort in his left arm. He is hopeful the pause won't push his timeline back too much into the second half of the season. The 36-year-old future Hall of Famer has been out all season following left-shoulder surgery in the offseason. It remains to be seen when he might be available to return to LA's starting rotation, but the Dodgers almost certainly won't rush him back after the All-Star break in mid-July. Because of his recent shutdown, it most likely means we won't see him until August. Fantasy managers stashing Kershaw in an IL spot must be patient and shouldn't expect him to be dominant when he does make his 2024 debut.
