Mitch Jebb Posts Three Straight Multi-Hit Games
5 months agoPittsburgh Pirates shortstop prospect Mitch Jebb has had at least two hits in his past three games at High-A Greensboro. The former second-round selection out of Michigan State has had a difficult time adjusting to High-A ball, but his recent production is a good sign that things are turning around for the young infielder. In his past six games, he has only gone hitless once and holds a strong .579/.724/.737 line. Through his first 63 games at this level, the number six ranked prospect in the Pittsburgh system sits with a .224/.319/.320 line with five long balls. However, since June 1, he holds a .272/.412/.358 line which suggests the 22-year-old could be in store for a nice second half of the season and breaking out of his prolonged slump.
