Tigers Shopping Jack Flaherty As Deadline Approaches
5 months agoThe Detroit Tigers have gone 32-45 since winning the first five games of the season and will once again be sellers at this summer's trade deadline, shopping right-hander Jack Flaherty, who signed a one-year, $14 million deal this offseason. Flaherty has been a massive value signing for the Tigers while going 5-5 with a 3.24 ERA (3.05 FIP) and 1.00 WHIP with 115 strikeouts and 14 walks in 89 innings over his 15 starts in what has been a big bounce-back campaign. It only makes sense that they'd try to sell high on Flaherty after building his value back up in the first half of 2024. The 28-year-old did allow three home runs in a loss in his last outing against the Los Angeles Angels, but he still managed to strike out six and currently ranks third in baseball with a 33% strikeout rate. Flaherty landing with a contender for the second half would make him even more valuable in fantasy this year.
