Tommy Troy Begins To Find Footing On Rehab Assignment
6 months agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop prospect Tommy Troy (hamstring) has tallied at least two hits in consecutive rehab games and is beginning to find his footing in the batter's box after going hitless in his first three rehab games. Troy was placed on the seven-day injured list on April 26 with a hamstring strain. He has logged five rehab games in the Arizona Complex League and holds an overall .250/.278/.500 line. Before the injury, the number 60 ranked prospect in baseball on MLB.com was at High-A. When activated from the injured list, the former 12th overall pick should be expected to return to High-A for the majority of the summer. Troy has logged 35 games at the High-A level over the past two summers and posted a pedestrian .224/.305/.388 slash line.
