Ryan Blaney's Strong New Hampshire Run Ends In 25th
6 months ago In Sunday's USA Today 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Ryan Blaney placed 25th after an eventful day. Starting the race from the second position, Blaney was one of the fastest cars in the earlier portion of the race, scoring stage points by placing fourth at the end of the first stage. During the second stage, Blaney continued to run well and maintain a top-10 running position, avoiding accidents and using effective pit strategy to end the second stage in the fifth position. In the final stage, the No. 12 Ford driver ascended through the field and made it as high as second before the race was delayed due to rain. After the race resumed, Blaney continued to compete for the win until Michael McDowell collided & spun out with him on a restart on lap 293. After the crash, Blaney continued on with a damaged car but could not make it through the field, ending the race with his worst career Cup finish ever at New Hampshire. As the NASCAR Cup Series next heads to Nashville, Blaney is a driver to watch as he placed third in the 2022 race at the site.
