Kylen Granson 2024 Outlook – Lost In The Tight End Shuffle In Indy
6 months agoGranson was the leading receiver among Indianapolis' tight ends in 2023 as he accounted for 30 receptions for 368 yards and one touchdown. He clearly benefitted from Jelani Woods suffering a season-ending hamstring injury as Woods was the one positioned to be the Colts top tight end, at least from a pass-catching perspective. Granson's numbers did not do much for fantasy managers, however, and they should unfortunately go down in 2024. Woods should be 100 percent and ready to reclaim his position atop the tight end pecking order, plus Granson will have to fight and claw with veteran Mo-Alie Cox and second-year player Will Mallory for playing time and targets as well. Indianapolis will likely trade or cut one of these four tight ends before the season starts. Granson has steadily improve during his career and is a cheap cap hit, so he is unlikely to be the one moved unless the Colts want to deal him since he is in the last year of his rookie contract. Whichever team Granson plays for, do not expect much from him on the fantasy front. The best you can hope for from him is 40 catches for 440 yards and a couple touchdowns.
