Jake Bloss Added To 15-Day Injured List With Right Shoulder Discomfort
6 months agoHouston Astros pitcher Jake Bloss was added to the 15-day IL with right shoulder discomfort, the team announced on Saturday. Bloss was called up this week to make a spot start against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday where he was removed in the fourth inning with an injury concern. The start was his major league debut and the first time he'd thrown in a game above Double-A. With the 22-year-old being added to the injured list, the Astros' rotation becomes even more depleted with them already having mainstays Justin Verlander and Cristian Javier on the IL. The Astros are expected to be in the mix to add a starting pitcher with the trade deadline coming up. Fantasy managers should be on the lookout for whoever the Astros call up or acquire as they'll likely be able to be plugged in quickly given their current injury situation.
