6 months agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Meyers is getting the day off on Sunday as the Astros look to get a series victory against the Detroit Tigers. Instead, Chas McCormick will slot in as the starting center fielder and bat in the nine-hole. Meyers has performed well with a .254/.315/.414 slash line, six home runs, and six stolen bases through 62 games this season. In addition, he has been an excellent defender in center field. However, he has gone hitless in his past three games. Meyers should be expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday when the Astros open up a three-game set against the White Sox. McCormick has gotten off to a slow start this season with a poor .209 AVG but does have a favorable matchup for DFS this afternoon against Kenta Maeda, who is carrying a 5.89 ERA and could be a sneaky contrarian play.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
