Ricky Tiedemann Making Rehab Start On Friday
6 months agoTop Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann (elbow) has been assigned to the team's Florida Complex League on a minor-league rehab assignment and is scheduled to start on Friday. Tiedemann hasn't pitched in a game since April 11 due to left ulnar-nerve inflammation. The 21-year-old will eventually move up the ladder in the minors as he rehabs his left elbow, and the Blue Jays are going to take their time with their most prized prospect. When Tiedemann's rehab assignment is up, he's likely to head back to Triple-A Buffalo to continue his development before the Jays consider calling him up to the big leagues for the first time. Depending on how Tiedemann's rehab goes, there's a chance that he won't be able to make his debut in Toronto until 2025. Fantasy managers in single-year leagues shouldn't expect too much if he does debut in the second half.
