Jurickson Profar Dealing With Sore Knee
6 months agoSan Diego Padres manager Mike Shildt said that outfielder Jurickson Profar (knee) is dealing with a sore left knee after leaving Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Oakland Athletics mid at-bat after swinging and missing. Shildt indicated it's something Profar has been dealing with for a while, and he's currently considered day-to-day. Profar's left leg buckled after swinging and missing in the seventh inning, but the 31-year-old appears to have avoided a serious injury. It's pretty safe to say he won't be in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the A's, and fantasy managers shouldn't rule out a trip to the injured list eventually. If Profar misses more than just a few days, veteran outfielder David Peralta would likely be in line to play left field for the Friars against right-handed pitchers. Profar went 1-for-2 with two RBI and has been one of the best hitters in baseball so far in 2024, hitting .324 with 10 homers and 45 RBI.
