Vinnie Pasquantino On The Bench Against Lefty
6 months agoKansas City Royals left-handed-hitting first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino will start on the bench on Monday versus the visiting New York Yankees and left-hander Carlos Rodon, even though he's hitting .302 (13-for-43) against left-handers this year. Pasquantino has been hot so far in the month of June, hitting .310 (9-for-29) with a homer, four doubles, a triple, seven RBI and four runs scored in seven games to raise his season slash line to .243/.315/.437. Although fantasy managers may have been expecting more power (he has seven home runs), they can't complain about his 43 RBI for an upstart Royals club. Salvador Perez will play first and bat third, while Freddy Fermin will do the catching and hit sixth for the Royals on Monday against Rodon.
