Alex Bregman Day-To-Day After X-Rays Come Back Negative
6 months agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (wrist) departed Sunday's series finale against the Los Angeles Angels early after being hit by a pitch near the left wrist, according to manager Joe Espada. X-rays came back negative, though, and Bregman is considered day-to-day heading into the series opener on Monday versus the hosting San Francisco Giants. Bregman was also hit on the hand by a pitch last Wednesday and missed a game, but it looks like he dodged another bullet on Sunday. The 30-year-old was hit in a different spot against the Halos, but fantasy managers will want to check Houston's lineup to make sure he's playing against San Francisco. The two-time All-Star has been hot at the plate and is currently riding an 11-game hitting streak in which he's gone 16-for-42 (.381) with five home runs, two doubles, a triple and nine RBI.
