Michael Gallup 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Retired During Training Camp
6 months agoMichael Gallup finds himself on a new team for the first time in his seventh season as a pro, joining the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2024 NFL season. During training camp, the Raiders placed Gallup on the reserve/retired list. Gallup spent six underwhelming seasons with Dallas after being a Day 2 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The 2023 season was Gallup's worst season as a pro, as a full 17-game slate yielded 34 receptions, 418 yards, and two touchdowns on just 56 targets. Gallup ran a lot of routes in 2023 but was barely targeted, as evidenced by his second straight season with a sub-1.10 yards per route run and a career-low 14.2% targets per route run rate. With the retirement news, the Raiders wide receiver depth chart consists of Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, and Jalen Guyton.
