Corey Seager Out Again Sunday
6 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (hamstring) is not in the team's starting lineup on Sunday as they face the visiting San Francisco Giants. Seager will be missing his third straight game after suffering a left-hamstring strain in Wednesday's game against the Detroit Tigers. With a scheduled day off coming on Monday, hopefully the 30-year-old veteran and two-time World Series MVP will be ready to go again for the start of a new series on Tuesday versus his former club, the Los Angeles Dodgers. The good news for fantasy managers is it doesn't look like it's an injury that will send Seager to the injured list. Josh Smith is getting another start at the 6 for Texas on Sunday and will hit second, while Ezequiel Duran is at third base and batting fifth against Giants right-hander Keaton Winn. After a slow start in 2024, Seager has started heating up offensively.
