Kodai Senga Won't Return Before All-Star Break
6 months agoNew York Mets right-hander Kodai Senga (shoulder, triceps) will not return in the first half of the season, manager Carlos Mendoza said on Saturday. It had seemed like a foregone conclusion for a while, and now it's official. The Mets are hopeful that Senga can return to throwing bullpen sessions next week. It's been a frustrating season for Senga and his fantasy managers, as the 31-year-old Japanese pitcher has yet to debut in 2024 after having a setback in his recovery from a right-shoulder injury when he experienced tightness in his triceps recently. After receiving a cortisone injection, Senga is close to throwing off a mound again, but fantasy baseball managers will not have him available at least until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Keep Senga stashed everywhere.
