Ranger Suarez Officially Starting In London Against Mets
6 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez (thumb) is officially starting Saturday's contest in London against the division-rival New York Mets. Suarez had to be moved from his last start last Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals after he was hit by a line drive on his left thumb. However, the 28-year-old southpaw avoided a serious injury, was able to throw on back-to-back days during the week and had a light bullpen session on Friday. Suarez shouldn't have any restrictions on Saturday and should remain in all starting fantasy lineups in a good matchup against the Mets. The Venezuelan hurler has been excellent this year, going 9-1 with a 1.70 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 79 strikeouts in 74 innings over his 12 starts in 2024. In his first start against the Mets on May 15, Suarez got the win, giving up two unearned runs while walking two and striking out three in five innings.
