Corey Seager Absent From Rangers Lineup
6 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (hamstring) is not in the team's starting lineup on Friday on for the series opener against the visiting San Francisco Giants. It's not much of a surprise after Seager was forced to leave Wednesday's game against the Detroit Tigers with hamstring tightness. The good news is that the 30-year-old two-time World Series MVP is considered day-to-day and isn't expected to need a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers need to remove him from their lineups on Friday and check back to see if he's feeling good enough to play for the second game of the series on Saturday. After a slow start, Seager has picked things up offensively and has hit .354 (23-for-65) with nine homers and 15 RBI in 18 games since May 14. Josh Smith is at the 6 and is batting second on Friday, with Ezequiel Duran at third base and batting eighth against Giants right-hander Logan Webb.
