Nolan Jones Continues Rehab Assignment
6 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Nolan Jones (back, knee) went 1-for-5 as the designated hitter and stole a base on Tuesday for Triple-A Albuquerque, and manager Bud Black said Jones was scheduled to play the field on Wednesday. The current injury is to his left knee, which he suffered last month during his previous minor-league rehab assignment while trying to recover from a lower-back strain. The 26-year-old left-handed slugger was put on the injured list back on April 30, so the Rockies may keep him on a rehab assignment through the weekend given all the time he's missed. In addition to his injuries, he's hit just .170 (16-for-94) on the year with a homer and seven RBI, but his high-upside power/speed combination makes him worth stashing in all fantasy formats.
