Christian Walker Resting Against Giants
6 months agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Christian Walker will get the day off on Wednesday in the series finale against the visiting division-rival San Francisco Giants. This will be only the second time that Walker has been out of the starting lineup all year, and the first since April 21. The left-handed-hitting Pavin Smith will get the start at first base as a result and will bat fifth in the order against Giants right-hander Jordan Hicks. The 33-year-old Walker continues to provide consistent power for his fantasy managers while hitting in the middle of Arizona's lineup. He's currently slashing .260/.354/.466 with an .820 OPS, 12 home runs, 38 RBI and 38 runs scored in 223 at-bats. Walker has a hit in each of the first four games in June, including one home run.
