Robert Gasser Not Dealing With Structural Damage
6 months agoAn MRI exam on Milwaukee Brewers rookie left-hander Robert Gasser's elbow came back negative for any structural damage, and manager Pat Murphy described Gasser's injury as tightness and soreness. "There's a possibility he could miss some time. But from the first MRI, I guess it looks pretty normal," Murphy said. The Brewers aren't going to rush their No. 4 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, especially considering the fact that he started the season late in 2024 due to an injury. The 25-year-old southpaw is most likely headed for a trip to the injured list and will miss at least two weeks of action. The former second-round pick of the San Diego Padres in 2021 out of Houston has looked pretty good in his first five big-league starts, going 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with only one walk and 16 strikeouts in 28 innings pitched.
