Jacob Young Returns For Nationals
6 months agoWashington Nationals outfielder Jacob Young (hand) is back in center field and is batting in the nine-hole on Tuesday against the visiting division-rival New York Mets and left-hander David Peterson. Young will return to the outfield after missing the last two games due to swelling in his right hand. The 24-year-old is feeling good enough to play on Tuesday, though. Young has minimal DFS upside at the bottom of the batting order but has been useful in traditional fantasy leagues in 2024 because of his speed. He is still searching for the first home run of his career after debuting in the majors in 2023, while he's hit .267 (39-for-146) with 14 RBI, 17 stolen bases and 25 runs scored in 48 games. Against lefties in 2024, he's gone 16-for-49 (.327) with five RBI and 10 thefts.
