CJ Abrams Back In Action Tuesday
6 months agoWashington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams (shoulder) is back at shortstop and in his customary leadoff spot on Tuesday against the visiting New York Mets and left-hander David Peterson. Abrams will return to Washington's starting lineup for the first time since last Friday, and fantasy managers in all leagues will need to throw him back into their starting lineups as well, even though he's gone hitless with eight strikeouts in 14 at-bats over his last three games. The former first-rounder (sixth overall) by the San Diego Padres in 2019 is in the midst of a breakout season with nine home runs, 26 RBI and eight stolen bases in 217 at-bats. Abrams has also been better against left-handed pitchers this year, too, going 22-for-63 (.349) with three home runs and 12 RBI against them.
