Nate Furman Moving Up To Double-A
6 months agoCleveland Guardians infield prospect Nate Furman is being promoted to Double-A Akron. Furman, a former fourth-round selection, logged 105 games at High-A over the past two seasons, holding an overall .272/.370/.361 line with seven home runs, 48 RBI, a 48:66 BB:K ratio, and stole 18 bags. The former UNC Charlotte graduate made his minor league debut in 2023 with Single-A and posted a strong .328/.486/.375 line with 27 stolen bases through 40 games. Furman is currently not ranked in Cleveland's top 30 prospects on MLB Pipeline, but that could change depending on how well he performs with Double-A Akron. He is worth mounting in dynasty leagues, as he has flashed elite speed at times.
