Josh Reynolds 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Move To Denver Represents Big Downgrade
6 months agoFormer Detroit Lions wide receiver Josh Reynolds inked a two-year deal worth a maximum of $14 million with the Denver Broncos in free agency to help replace Jerry Jeudy, who was dealt to the Cleveland Browns. Broncos fans will be hoping that Reynolds will be more effective than Jeudy was at the end of his tenure, but fantasy managers aren't going to be expecting much, especially given the team's quarterback situation. The 29-year-old former fourth-rounder in 2017 by the Rams out of Texas A&M has never eclipsed 52 catches, 618 yards, or five touchdowns in any of his seven NFL seasons as more of a complementary wideout. Even with Jeudy gone, Reynolds isn't a lock for the WR2 job in Denver, especially if Tim Patrick is able to bounce back after two straight season-ending injuries. Reynolds had the second 600-yard season of his career in 2023 with Detroit and also matched his career-high with five scores, but the move to Denver is a serious downgrade offensively, and consistent targets may be hard to come by.
