K.J. Osborn 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Late-Round Dart Throw With WR4/5 Upside
6 months agoAfter spending four seasons as a Minnesota Viking, wide receiver K.J. Osborn will advance his career with the New England Patriots. He signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Patriots this offseason. Osborn will look to bolster a Patriot WR corps that was severely lacking in 2023. He will provide a veteran presence and could lock down a role as New England's preferred option on the outside. With a quarterback battle between Jacoby Brissett and newly minted third-overall pick Drake Maye, consistency might be hard to find for Osborn. The 26-year-old will compete for targets with Kendrick Bourne, Demario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and rookie wideouts Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. They don't represent the type of target competition Osborn faced in Minnesota, and this room is wide open for the taking regarding volume. His RotoBaller rank of WR106 starkly contrasts his NFFC WR176 in ADP, and Osborn could still be a contributor this season amid uncertainty in the Patriots' pecking order. Managers should approach him as a boom-or-bust option and should view him as a flexible option who can provide explosive weeks.
