Tee Higgins 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Signs Franchise Tag, A Borderline WR2 Heading Into Fantasy Drafts
7 months agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins' ADP currently sits at WR30, bound to change depending on how his situation turns out before Week 1 of the NFL season. Higgins is seeking a long-term contract with Cincinnati but has not communicated much on a new deal. The 25-year-old recently signed the franchise tag with the Bengals and is set to make $21.8 million on a one-year deal. He caught 42 passes for 656 yards and five touchdowns over 12 games in 2023. The former second-round pick missed time last year due to a hamstring injury. If the Bengals were to move on from Higgins, there are two sides to consider. In games without Ja'Marr Chase since 2021, Higgins has been a fantasy WR1. However, he has not been startable in games without Joe Burrow at quarterback. Burrow is the perfect quarterback for Higgins, working well with Higgins' strengths, such as back-shoulder fades and downfield contested target opportunities. Injuries, not lack of talent, resulted in his worst season in 2023, with 54.7 receiving yards per game and five receiving touchdowns. Higgins' risk is high in 2024, with the injury issues baked in. WR30 is safe for now, which aligns with his RotoBaller wide receiver ranking of 25, making him a borderline WR2 heading into fantasy drafts.
