Roschon Johnson 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Handcuff / Potential Injury Fill-In
7 months agoIn 2023, the Chicago Bears selected running back Roschon Johnson in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft – #115 overall. In his rookie season, he mirrored his collegiate years, unfortunately, again finding himself buried on the depth chart behind a more talented running back. However, it wasn't Bijan Robinson this time, as Johnson was outplayed by Khalil Herbert and even D'Onta Foreman as the season waned on. Still unhappy with their RB production, the Bears sought to upgrade the position for a second straight season, bringing in the talented D'Andre Swift to bolster their backfield. In what will be a new-look Bears offense helmed by rookie sensation Caleb Williams – it's fair to project this team to be a bit better this year. With Swift's lengthy injury history, we should keep Johnson on the fantasy radar, as he may have a few starts throughout the season. At his lowly price of RB50 on NFFC (#168 overall) – RB48 in RotoBaller's ranks – he is nothing more than a handcuff/end-of-bench option for fantasy managers.
