Daniel Jones 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Late Round Superflex QB3 Flyer
7 months agoIn his time as the quarterback for the New York Giants, Daniel Jones (knee) has been the subject of much speculation. After finishing the 2022 season as the QB9 for fantasy – if only for his rushing statistics – some believed Jones was finally here to stay as the Giants franchise quarterback. A year later, that notion came crumbling back to Earth. Jones disappointed Giants fans and fantasy managers when he was on the field in 2023, then had his season derailed after suffering a Grade 3 ACL tear in Week 9 against the Raiders. He expects to be ready for training camp, but it's hard to get excited about a mobile QB who relies mainly on his rushing prowess, coming off a significant injury. The Giants also signed quarterback Drew Lock to a contract to be the team's backup this offseason. Lock could be the team's starting quarterback if Jones is not ready by Week 1. The subtraction of star running back Saquon Barkley makes this offense even less enticing – even when we consider the addition of Malik Nabers, superstar wideout from LSU, to a corps that includes Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Jalin Hyatt. Jones serves only as a consideration in best ball and superflex drafts, the latter of which he's priced as QB30 – #125 overall and QB32 in RotoBaller's ranks.
