Mike Trout Injury Update for Fantasy Baseball
As per the latest reports, Mike Trout has undergone successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. The 32-year-old outfielder underwent the surgery in California and will start his rehabilitation in Anaheim. Although there is no timeline for Trout's return, the club expects him to return to the field later this season. The Angels are 12-20 on the season and are currently tied for the worst record in the AL West with the Houston Astros.
Making the playoffs remains unlikely for the Angels. However, the team will expect the likes of Taylor Ward, Logan O'Hoppe, and Nolan Schanuel to continue their good form and uplift the players around them in Trout's absence.

Mike Trout Fantasy Baseball Outlook
Before getting hurt, Mike Trout played 29 games and had a batting average of.220. With an on-base percentage of .332, he recorded 24 hits, 10 home runs, 14 RBIs, and 17 runs. As mentioned earlier, the Angels star was leading the Majors in home runs before suffering the knee injury, and his unavailability is a huge loss for the managers who had him on their team.
Replacing a player like Trout is never easy for a team, but based on the past five years, it's clear that the three-time AL MVP is prone to injuries. Hopefully, Trout will return later this year, but until then, the Angels and the managers who have him on their roster must rely on other players to contribute.
