Matt Brash Shut Down After Setback
7 months agoSeattle Mariners right-hander Matt Brash (elbow) has been shut down after having a setback with his right elbow while playing catch Friday. He will head to Dallas to see Dr. Meister to evaluate his injured elbow further. Mariners general manager Justin Hollander said he is "concerned" about the latest setback for Brash. The 25-year-old is considered day-to-day, but the latest news is that his rehab assignment has been paused. Brash had been sidelined all season after landing on the injured list with inflammation on his right elbow. Andres Munoz will remain Seattle's primary closer, while Ryne Stanek will handle high-leverage situations with Brash sidelined.
