Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has been productive since entering the NFL in 2020 but playing alongside star wideout Ja'Marr Chase, his upside is capped. Additionally, the team has already signed quarterback Joe Burrow to a massive contract extension, and Chase's payday will come sooner rather than later.
All that said, Higgins could be on his way out of Cincinnati this offseason. He requested a trade at the start of free agency, but he remains on the roster as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches.
Will Higgins play for the Bengals this season, or will he be traded? Let's dive in.

Will Tee Higgins Be Traded?
After posting 257 receptions for 3,684 yards and 24 touchdowns over the last four years, Higgins formally requested a trade. However, in a media availability over the weekend, the former Clemson Tiger said he expects to suit up for the Bengals in 2024, even if it comes with a $21.8 million franchise tag.

With a trade request in and no traction on contract talks, this is one to watch, regardless 👇👇👇 https://t.co/7WaIH2M9Z5

Last offseason, the Bengals were clear that they would not trade Higgins, but it's been more of a mystery this offseason. In all likelihood, Higgins will remain in Cincinnati for at least one more season, and the Bengals will have a decision to make next year. He could be franchise-tagged again and traded, and it'd be surprising if the team allows him to hit the open market.
Although there are still five more months until the 2024 NFL season begins, fantasy managers can operate assuming Higgins will stay put for now.
Tee Higgins 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Assuming Higgins remains in Joe Burrow's offense, he'll retain his WR2 upside in 2024. Chase is the clear No. 1 wideout and target hog, but Burrow should begin the new campaign healthy, something we could not say about him last year. At his best, Burrow is more than capable of supporting two top-24 fantasy wideouts, and Higgins has an elite jump ball skill set that could yield a high-touchdown season at some point in his career.
Higgins battled injury issues himself, which led to him posting career lows in receptions (42), receiving yards (656), and touchdowns (five). Needless to say, turning in a healthy campaign will be crucial for his future contract negotiations.

The 25-year-old is coming off the board at the WR30 spot in early FFPC Best Ball drafts, so his cost warrants having exposure to him.
