Corey Seager Taking Easter Off
9 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager is not in the team's starting lineup on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs. With Seager taking the day off on Easter Sunday, Ezequiel Duran will make the start at the 6 and bat fifth for the Rangers against Cubs left-hander Jordan Wicks. Despite having sports-hernia surgery in January, Seager was ready to roll for Opening Day on Thursday and has gone 5-for-10 with two RBI and a run scored in the first two games of the 2024 season. Fantasy managers will need to remove the two-time World Series MVP out of their starting lineups for Sunday's games, but he should be right back in there on Monday when the Rangers start a series in Tampa versus the Rays. With Seager out on Sunday, outfield prospect Wyatt Langford will hit in the two spot behind Marcus Semien.
