Our mid-major conference tournaments are still in the early stages, so that means some early slates for the next week or so. Some of these teams will make the NCAA Tournament in a couple of weeks and others will be in the NIT. We'll have a lot of DFS slates with these players, so we get a chance to get acquainted with them.
The Big South and Colonial Athletic Association join the MVC this afternoon. We get High Point and Radford, then Longwood and Winthrop from the Big South. North Carolina A&T takes on William and Mary as the CAA gets underway. The MVC top seed Indiana State is in action against a Missouri State team that rolled yesterday. We close this with another MVC tilt between Belmont and Northern Iowa.
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/8/24, starting at noon EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Ja'Kobi Gillespie, Belmont ($8.9K)
Gillespie only played 18 minutes in the big win over Valparaiso yesterday. They were resting him for Northern Iowa. Belmont needs a run through the MVC tournament to wind up in the postseason. Gillespie wasn't worth the price yesterday, but he put up 33.75 DraftKings points in 33 minutes in the first game against Northern Iowa. It's do or die for Belmont. Even the CBI is a long shot at this point. Expect Gillespie to play that way.

Landon Glasper, North Carolina A&T ($7.4K)
Glasper closed the regular season with a forgettable outing in the blowout loss to Towson and missed the Campbell game. That ended a streak of nine straight games over 30 DraftKings points. He should be back on track as the CAA Tournament gets underway. Glasper had a big game against William and Mary during the regular season. He posted 41.5 DraftKings points on the Tribe. Based on the price and potential, Glasper is my favorite play on the entire slate.
DaQuan Smith, Radford ($6K)
Smith is the leading scorer for the Highlanders at 15 points per game, so getting him at this price feels like a steal. He's a volume shooter, so he rarely scores under double figures. The last time he did was on January 31. Smith scored 37 points in the two games against High Point this season with six assists, six rebounds, a steal, and a block. We can work with that for $6K.
Damien Mayo Jr., Missouri State ($4.8K)
Mayo played his fourth straight game over 24 minutes last night, but he only took two shots, which limited his upside. Still, he is contributing in every other category and he had taken 19 shots over the past two games before last night. Mayo played a total of 46 minutes against the Sycamores during the regular season and put up 30.25 DraftKings points. I can live with that since he will likely play more than 23 minutes in this game.
Also consider: Ryan Conwell, Indiana State ($8.3K); Nate Heise, Northern Iowa ($7.9K); Abdoulaye Thiam, High Point ($6.8K); Julian Larry, Indiana State ($6.2K); Alston Mason, Missouri State ($5.7K); Johnathan Massie, Longwood ($5.1K); Xavier Bledson, Indiana State ($4.4K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Robbie Avila, Indiana State ($8K)
Robbie Avila is a name to remember. Indiana State will be in the postseason in some capacity. Their regular season MVC title assures them a trip to the NIT, but they want more. If they get it, Avila will be why. He has at least 33 DraftKings points in each of the last five games except for the blowout of Valparaiso when he played just 24 minutes. Both games against Missouri State were competitive this year with Avila picking up 71.5 DraftKings points in the two meetings. He should be in the mid-30s again today.
Kelton Talford, Winthrop ($6.6K)
There are a lot of inconsistent big men on this slate, so you'll find me gravitating toward the guys who aren't going to sink me. Talford is one of those guys. He has at least 25 DraftKings points in five straight games and hasn't been under 20 in a competitive game since the Queens game on December 5. College football was still going on then! Talford posted 48.25 DraftKings points in the two games against Longwood this year. That's not a bad return for the price.
N.J. Benson, Missouri State ($6K)
Benson posted a double-double in the win over Murray State yesterday, causing his price to jump $600. He performed well enough against the Sycamores this year, putting up 57.25 DraftKings points in 60 minutes over the two games. That's a great return for the price. I'll ride Benson again.
Juslin Bodo Bodo, High Point ($4.5K)
Bodo Bodo missed all of January and most of February with an injury this year. He is averaging 6.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, and 1.3 steals in the three games since his return. That includes a game against Winthrop in which he fouled out in just 11 minutes. Bodo Bodo didn't face Radford this year, but I don't care. He cleared 30 DraftKings points twice in seven games this year. I'm buying in on this potential.
Also consider: Kimani Hamilton, High Point ($7.8K); Gabe Dorsey, William and Mary ($7K); Caleb Dorsey, William and Mary ($6.2K); Michael Christmas, Longwood ($5.9K); Elijah Tucker, Longwood ($5.1K); Alex Timmerman, Winthrop ($4.9K); Szymon Zapala, Longwood ($4.6K)
