Anthony Rendon Dealing With Groin Discomfort
9 months agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (groin) has been dealing with some groin discomfort since Sunday, which is why he hasn't played in the Cactus League in a couple of days. Manager Ron Washington said he isn't concerned with the injury, though, and the hope is that Rendon is back in the lineup on Thursday. However, the Angels won't throw the injury-prone third baseman back out there until the pain is gone. The 33-year-old should hit in the middle of LA's batting order in 2024 and serve more as the designated hitter with Shohei Ohtani now gone, but how many games can fantasy managers really expect Rendon to play in? He's played in just 148 total games in the last three seasons combined. He still has great plate discipline, but Rendon has become untrustworthy in standard-sized fantasy leagues.
