CBB DFS: Night DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (2/28/24)

Does DraftKings read my articles? Because they have gone and totally redeemed themselves! We have 16 games on two slates tonight, but the split is much more manageable with the 9 p.m. games moved to the late slate. That gives us 10 games in the main and six games in the nightcap. Thanks a lot! This is going to be great! This six-game nightcap features even more big names than the main tournament! Let's do this!

The night begins with four 9 p.m. games to choose from. Alabama heads to Oxford to take on Ole Miss. Seton Hall is locked in the Birdcage to face Creighton. Minnesota heads to Champaign to take on the Illini. Virginia climbs Chestnut Hill for a crack at Boston College. Next up in the Territorial Cup in Tempe this time. We finish the night in Eugene for round two of the last Pac-12 Civil War.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for the main slate on DraftKings on 2/28/24, starting at 9 p.m. EST. Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Kadary Richmond, Seton Hall ($8.9K)

Richmond took a staggering 32 shots in the first meeting with Creighton. We don't expect another triple-overtime affair here, but the point is that Richmond got open and wasn't afraid to shoot. He racked up 58.25 DraftKings points in that game. He has slowed down a touch since then, but only a blowout loss to Villanova and a blowout win over DePaul have held him under 34 DraftKings points since January 6. This won't be a blowout. Expect another strong outing from Richmond.

Jordan Pope, Oregon State ($7.1K)

When Pope is in a groove, he can score with the best of them. He has 53 points, six assists, five rebounds, and two steals in the last two games against Cal and Stanford. He hit just four of 17 shots from the floor against Oregon in Corvallis the game before this little hot streak. There is risk involved here, but if Pope keeps the scoring up, he'll be more than worth this price.

Adam Miller, Arizona State ($5.4K)

Miller is one of the few Sun Devils who had a good game in the first meeting against Arizona. He also played 30 minutes while most of the starters played in the low-to-mid 20s. Miller is going to play a lot of minutes and he's going to score in double figures. That's what he does. The peripherals leave much to be desired, but Miller has six straight games in double figures. He's relatively safe even if he's not doing much else.

Donald Hand Jr., Boston College ($3.6K)

Hand was playing around 18-24 minutes per game early in the season before an injury cost him a couple of weeks in early February. His minutes are just now getting back to the level that they were before. He has scored 17 points in the last two games for the Eagles. Boston College does need his efficient scoring off the bench. Expect to see about 20 minutes of Hand tonight, but the Virginia defense makes me nervous.

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($8.9K)

Kalkbrenner's size was a problem for Seton Hall in the first meeting and will be again. Kalkbrenner played a staggering 54 of the 55 minutes in that first game. He has played all but 18 minutes in the past seven games combined. He puts up huge numbers for Creighton. Kalkbrenner can score from anywhere, is tough on the boards, and is the best rim protector in the Big East. He can be used with confidence.

Michael Rataj, Oregon State ($7.2K)

Rataj had trouble with Cal's Fardaws Aimaq a couple of games ago, but that is the only game in which he has missed 30 DraftKings points in the last five games. He had a big game against the Ducks in that span, finishing just one rebound shy of a double-double. His one-game exile to the bench against Washington State on February 8 had the desired effect. The Beavers are finally getting some consistency out of Rataj.

Jaden Bediako, Seton Hall ($6.6K)

Bediako has put together a string of three strong games. That's a rarity this season. Foul trouble and inconsistency have been the bane of his existence this season. Bediako has at least 25 DraftKings points in each of those three games and enjoyed his best game of the season against Creighton earlier this year, even before all of the overtimes. A double-double might not be in the cards again, but he could come close.

Jordan Minor, Virginia ($4.9K)

He's still starting and Jake Groves is struggling again. Neither one has played well enough to take this job and run with it, but Minor has the upper hand after a double-double against North Carolina over the weekend. Minor scored 12 of Virginia's 44 points in that game. As limited as Minor's offense is, he's at least scoring. Virginia hasn't scored more than 50 points in a game since February 13.
