Keaton Winn Dealing With Elbow Soreness, Not Too Worried
10 months agoSan Francisco Giants right-hander Keaton Winn (elbow) felt some right-elbow soreness during his last bullpen session, but an MRI exam came back clean and he'll be shut down in camp for a few days. With Robbie Ray (elbow) and Alex Cobb (hip) out for the first half of the 2024 season, Winn is currently the team's No. 4 starter. Despite the injury, Winn isn't too concerned and thinks he'll be ready for Opening Day. Tristan Beck is the favorite for the final rotation spot in San Fran. If Winn ends up not being ready for the start of the season, Spencer Howard and Daulton Jefferies could be options to fill in early on in April in the Giants' rotation. Winn, 26, made his big-league debut in 2023 and looked good, striking out 35 and walking only eight in five starts and four relief outings in 42 1/3 innings.
