CBB DFS: Night DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (2/21/24)

Why, DraftKings? You have a great chance to grow your college basketball DFS audience, and you blow it by breaking up the slates with 12 games and two games. If you put the 9 p.m. start time games on the night slate where they belong, it would be a much better nine-game and five-game split for all of the NBA fans looking for some action. You blew it. I'm just here to call you out on it.

Our nightcap begins in The Pit in Albuquerque with Colorado State in town. We end an hour later and a few hours north on I-25 in Colorado Springs with Air Force hosting UNLV. Three of these four teams could be bound for the NCAA Tournament. Let's get familiar with these guys that could be DFS staples in about a month.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/21/24, starting at 10 p.m. EST. Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Isaiah Stevens, Colorado State ($7.7K)

So, what did you do this weekend? Stevens set the school record for made three-point shots. It was also his third game over 30 DraftKings points in the last four and sixth out of the last eight. Stevens put up 37.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Lobos. He should be somewhere in the 30s again tonight.

Dedan Thomas Jr., UNLV ($6.7K)

Thomas has cleared 30 DraftKings points in three of the last four games as well, but his floor is lower than Stevens. Fresno frustrated him the whole game and he only ended up with 11 points. Thomas doesn't put up big peripheral numbers, so it's kind of a big deal if he's not knocking down shots. Thomas has a high ceiling due to his efficient scoring, but the floor is low enough to leave him as a GPP-only option.

Josiah Strong, Colorado State ($4.8K)

Strong is overshadowed by the other two guards on this team, but he's good at setting up his teammates and finding an open shot for himself. He's not quite as scoring-dependent as Thomas is, so the floor is safer. However, Strong doesn't get a ton of shots in the flow of this offense. He's often as his best when Stevens and Nique Clifford are getting breathers.

Also consider: Jaelen House, New Mexico ($7.6K); Donovan Dent, New Mexico ($6.9K); Luis Rodriguez, UNLV ($6.5K); Jeffrey Mills, Air Force ($5.4K); Jalen Lake, Colorado State ($3.8K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

JT Toppin, New Mexico ($8.1K)

Toppin is my favorite play on the entire slate. He's a nightmare on the boards for any team in this conference and an elite rim protector. He's an efficient scorer even if he isn't as assertive on offense as he should be at times. Toppin put up a double-double in the first meeting with the Rams, resulting in 37.25 DraftKings points. The Rams are a guard-oriented team. Toppin is going to be a problem for them once again.

Rytis Petraitis, Air Force ($8K)

Petraitis is a very close second to Toppin for me on this slate. Air Force is a team that often struggles to score, so Petraitis and his usually efficient scoring are featured prominently. He has topped 40 DraftKings points in each of the last two games. Better than that, he broke the slate in the first meeting with UNLV, putting up 65.25 DraftKings points with a rare triple-double. We can't expect that feat again, but 40 seems attainable.

Mustapha Amzil, New Mexico ($5.6K)

Amzil only played more than 20 minutes four times in the first 17 games of the season. He has topped that mark in seven of the last eight games and his production has predictably improved. Amzil has 92 DraftKings points over the last four games. That's a really strong output for this price range. Amzil posted a double-double against a tough San Diego State team over the weekend. I trust him more than most in this range.

Also consider: Keylan Boone, UNLV ($7.3K); Joel Scott, Colorado State ($7.2K); Beau Becker, Air Force ($6.7K); Rob Whaley Jr., UNLV ($5.8K); Patrick Cartier, Colorado State ($5.2K)
