Seahawks Hire Ryan Grubb As Offensive Coordinator
10 months agoThe Seattle Seahawks hired former University of Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb as their new offensive coordinator on Friday. Grubb recently accepted the same position at Alabama, but he will now head to the NFL instead. He spent the last two years as the offensive coordinator for the Huskies under current Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer, running a pass-heavy offense that ranked sixth in college football in yards per game (487) and sixth in scoring (36.7) in that span. The Huskies led the FBS in passing yards per game (355.8) the last two seasons. The job in Seattle will be Grubb's first in the NFL, and he's expected to bring Alabama offensive line coach Scott Huff with him to the Seahawks. In Washington, Grubb also served as the quarterbacks coach and will spend a lot of time with Geno Smith heading into the 2024 campaign.
