10 months agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas looked superhuman at the start of Thursday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche, scoring three goals inside the first 16:51 of action. He joined Cory Stillman as the only players in franchise history to net a natural hat trick in the opening frame. This is the first hat trick of Necas' career. The Czech forward has been on a roll in front of goal lately, lighting the lamp seven times in as many games.
