Chargers Interview Todd Monken For Head-Coaching Job
11 months agoThe Los Angeles Chargers confirmed on Friday that they interviewed Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken for their head-coaching job. In his return to the NFL in 2023, Monken helped run one of the best offenses in the league with the help of MVP front-runner Lamar Jackson at quarterback. The Ravens offense ranked sixth in the NFL in yards per game (370.4) while averaging 156.5 rushing yards per contest. The offense also ranked in the top 10 in third- and fourth-down conversions and red-zone efficiency. Monken began his career in the NFL in 2007 as the Jaguars' wide receivers coach before leaving twice to coach in the college ranks. He won the National Championship two straight years with Georgia before joining the Ravens in 2023.
