BALLER MOVE: Start in all fantasy lineups
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end fantasy wide receiver
ANALYSIS:
The Bengals and Chiefs will meet for the fifth time since January 2022. Cincinnati has the edge during that span, winning three of the four meetings. Undoubtedly, things will look different this time around, as Joe Burrow won't be under center for the Bengals because of a season-ending wrist injury. It will also be a bit different for Kansas City, considering the Chiefs will have Rashee Rice on the receiving end, someone they could have used in previous contests against Cincinnati.
Of course, at this point in the campaign, even more so for those playing for a championship in season-long fantasy setups, managers are left wondering if Rice should be featured in their starting lineups. The simple answer is yes; he should be in the lineup for Week 17. Without question, the wideout has been one of the most productive rookies in the National Football League. Of all rookie wide receivers, Rice ranks third in receiving yards, trailing Jordan Addison and Puka Nacua. He also has seven touchdowns, two behind Addison for the lead.
The 2023 second-round pick didn't have Patrick Mahomes' attention consistently early in the year. However, a lot has changed, with Rice seeing 50 targets in the last five games. He also found the end zone in three of his four appearances ahead of the Christmas loss to the Raiders. Nevertheless, Rice has played well beyond expectations in his first year as a professional, so fantasy managers need to keep him starting.
