12 months agoAfter missing out on Japanese right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto, it's uncertain if the New York Mets will pursue top remaining free-agent starters Blake Snell and Jordan Montgomery, who are also drawing interest from the Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox and others. The Mets have been linked more to the next tier of free-agent starters, including Shota Imanaga and right-hander Lucas Giolito. Giolito is also receiving interest from Boston. He had a rough finish to last season but has five straight 175-strikeout seasons. Snell, the National League Cy Young winner, has no shortage of suitors after Yamamoto was snatched up off the market by the Los Angeles Dodgers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
