Zack Wheeler 2024 Outlook: A Beacon of Consistency to Your Rotation
12 months agoSince signing with the Phillies during the 2019 offseason, Zack Wheeler has been one of the best pitchers in baseball. In 2023, the 33-year-old was again a workhorse for Philadelphia, tossing 192 innings in the regular season and 26.5 in the postseason. He struck out over 200 batters for the second time in his career and placed 6th in the NL Cy Young voting. Wheeler signed a three-year, $126 million contract extension with the Phillies on March 4. ATC projects the right-handed veteran to compile 191 strikeouts across 184 innings to the tune of a 3.51 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. He's been about as dependable and consistent as you can be the last three seasons, and his ADP of 21 comes at a fantastic value.
