Pat Freiermuth Bumps Up To Full Practice Session
12 months agoPittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (knee) was limited in practice on Tuesday but upgraded to a full session on Wednesday, putting him in line to play in Week 16 against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday afternoon. He said he tweaked his knee on Tuesday, but it was a "false alarm." An MRI exam confirmed that the injury isn't serious, and his return to practice on Wednesday is a sign that he'll be available this weekend. Outside of his nine-catch, 120-yard breakout in the first meeting with Cincy in Week 12, Freiermuth has been an underwhelming TE2 streamer for fantasy managers. The 25-year-old has only scored twice in nine games as well, and not since Week 3. It's nice that he's facing the Bengals again on Saturday, but it also remains to be seen what his chemistry will be like with quarterback Mason Rudolph, who is the expected starter.
