Keenan Allen Still Sitting Out Wednesday
12 months agoFor the second day in a row this week, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (heel) did not practice with the team on Wednesday. Since hurting his heel in Week 14, Allen hasn't practiced at all and did not play in last Thursday's embarrassing loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He could return to practice on Thursday and have a shot to play this Saturday against the Buffalo Bills in Week 16, but the fact that the Chargers are out of the playoff picture and already without quarterback Justin Herbert (finger) clouds Allen's status for fantasy managers in the semifinals in most leagues. It will be a tough break if Allen, a top-five fantasy wideout in 2023, is unavailable for the second week in a row. If he's eventually ruled out, Joshua Palmer, rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston and Jalen Guyton will operate in three-receiver sets for backup QB Easton Stick.
