C.J. Stroud Not Practicing Wednesday
1 year agoHouston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) is not taking part in practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday. Stroud is in the league's concussion protocol following his head injury in the Week 14 blowout loss to the New York Jets and is in danger of missing the first game of his NFL career this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. It would be a terrible blow to fantasy managers that made the playoffs in their league if they are without the 22-year-old this weekend, but you should already be preparing for that possibility. Davis Mills, who started 28 games for the Texans the previous two seasons, would make his first start of the year on Sunday against Tennessee if Stroud is unable to gain clearance to play. Mills went just 1-for-5 for four yards on eight offensive snaps in relief of Stroud last Sunday.
