C.J. Beathard May Start Against Browns
12 months agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback C.J. Beathard appears likely to start the Week 14 game against Cleveland. QB1 Trevor Lawrence (high ankle sprain) was originally slated to miss a couple of weeks but surprisingly practiced in limited fashion on Thursday and Friday, opening the door for him to potentially start this game. Beathard was also limited this week with a shoulder injury, but was taken off the final report. Regardless of who starts for the Jaguars on Sunday, it is a very poor matchup against a very stout Browns defense that ranks 3rd against opposing fantasy QBs on the year. In a game that is also calling for 20+ MPH winds, as well as some snow/sleet, it's probably smart to avoid either signal caller for fantasy this week.
